Colossalcon Prime is an anime, gaming, and Japanese pop culture convention held in Sandusky, Ohio, USA. It's the original, flagship Colossalcon event (running since 2002, at this venue since 2009), known for its location at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, whose indoor waterpark is one of the largest in the country. The con runs over Memorial Day weekend each spring and blends typical convention programming — cosplay contests, artist alley, panels, DJ sets — with resort amenities like the waterpark and arcade.

What can I say about Colossalcon 2022 that I haven't already said in my other articles. It was a blast! The event continues on, with very few notable changes. This article will mostly serve as a place to share the Instagram accounts of the cosplayers in my cosplay music video. Maybe one day I'll be able to interview a member of staff and really have some good information to share.
Suffice it to say that although not quite up to pre-pandemic numbers, this year's convention was definitely better attended than the 2021 event. I suppose it's partially due to post-pandemic concerns and also because there are now four Colossalcon conventions. People are probably choosing to attend the other ones instead.

Once again I was very happy to meet so many great cosplayers. The mood was relaxed and happy since it was the first time back in many years for so many of them. For some it was their first time.
